Speaking to the Advertiser today, he said: “Out of the 11 who started against Oxford, nine were not here last season. We are still a new team and we have to accept that people are still learning how to play alongside each other and that will go on for another two or three months.
“Our start has been indifferent. We have been superb at times and off it at other times and they are both signs of a team that is gelling.
“There are teams in the top seven now who won't be later on and other teams who will come through.
“If we get ourselves in and around the play-offs at the turn of the year then we will be well set up for the second half of the season. We know we are only going to get better.”
