Cutler, who isn't without his critics at Millmoor, was named in the divisional team of the week following the 3-1 victory at Bournemouth last weekend and it seems that the fans are now responding positively to his performances of late.

The keeper, who is known for his clenched fists and winding up of the crowd before games and after the half time break, spoke to www.themillers.co.uk earlier today. He explained: "Hartlepool was a bad game for us but we are pushing on strong in the league now, we had a great win at Bournemouth last week and are getting a lot more solid in defence.

“We have been working hard on the defensive side of things at the training ground and we are much better now as earlier on in the season we were conceding too many goals from set pieces.

“We've had a great start but we have also lost games that we should have won, to get out of the relegation zone tomorrow would be a massive boost for everybody. The fans are giving me some great support at the moment and that helps a lot.”

Neil and the boys head into tomorrow's clash with Crewe looking for a fourth straight win in their battle to climb out of the bottom four in League One.
