I'm working to keep my place - Brogan

By Bigrich.....
Monday, 30th November 2009
Stephen Brogan made his first start of the season in Saturdays 2-2 draw against Luton and tells Millersplayer that he's hoping to keep his place in the first team.

The 21 year old scored another header and is dissapointed not to have won the game; "We should have won the game, but we're still in the cup and we have got a chance to go down there and get to the 3rd round. We'll hopefully get a win down there."

"I thought we did alright and was the much better team, they didnt look like scoring, just a couple of mistakes and they scored two goals but apart from that they didnt really create that much, so it is dissapointing but we're still in the hat."

"Like I say they didnt look like scoring but a little bit of a rash tackle from Nicho but it's just one of those things that happens then Gaz slipping in central midfield and they broke straight through. Just two raritys really and thats what the gaffer said in the changing room after. "

"I've scored three goals with my head! I don't know where thats come from. I'm not known for my headers obviously I'm not the tallest but it was a good cross and I connected with it and it went it, it was a good feeling."

"I was in today because Kev hurt his foot and the gaffer put me in for my first start which was pleasing, but I don't know what he's thinking. We'll see how Kev is see how the gaffers thinking be obviously I'll be wanting to keep my place."

Asked if he expects to start against Shrewsbury tonight; "I couldnt say to be honest, I'll have to speak to the gaffer I spose, obviously I've scored and done quite well or not so bad. I'd love to keep my place, thats what everybody wants but we'll just see what he thinks."

"Shrewsbury are always a good team, especially at home, but I fancy us in any game this season with the squad we've got. We're looking to be in the top three come the end of the season. I fancy us anyway." he added.
