I'm here to do a job - Dyer.

Having made his debut at Wrexham last weekend, 33 year old Dyer told the 'Tiser that hes happy to be playing.

"I've been around, but thanks to my strength and good health I've had a long career and long may it continue. I want some success from my last few years. I look after myself and try to stay disciplined." he said.

"It's been a bit of a funny period for me at Doncaster, but to be honest the last couple of years have been like that. Football is a funny old game. You can be down one minute and then, bang, straight back up again, so I'm always open to opportunities and anything is possible. So long as my mindset is right and I keep working hard then things can change in an instant. You just have to keep at it and,God willing, it will pay off." he added.

Speaking about the move and last weekends game, Dyer said; "It was good to play because I haven't played a game for a while, As a player, especially a striker, you need games. They give you confidence and the opportunity to score goals."

"My fitness wasn't too bad, although I've still got a bit to do. I was just happy to have played although it was more important we got the three points. There's a good team spirit here. Everyone seems to be together and that's a great start for any team."

"It's a young side and maybe my experience can help them but, remember, you're never too old to learn. I can also learn a thing or two from the young boys."

Asked wether or not the move could transpire into a permanant deal, "I'm playing things by ear, I'm here for a month and we'll see how that goes and what Doncaster and Rotherham say after that." he said.

Meanwhile boss Mark Robins was happy with his performance, "I thought he did very well at Wrexham and used all his experience and was cute around the box, He got his body in and held the ball up for us and created one or two openings. He does great around the edge of the box by twisting and turning and bringing other people into play."
