I need to get off the mark - Taylor

Despite being yet to break his Rotherham United duck, local lad and MillersMAD sponsored Ryan Taylor is enjoying his football.

Talking to the Advertsier today Ryan said; "Looking back to last year, it was a bit of a lost season for me. I got in the side a early on and then got glandular fever halfway through and I never seemed to get going after that. This season is a new start for me and I want to push on."

He also liked the style of play the Millers are playing with the 433 formation, "I like it when I play up the middle. Myself and Marc have played youth team and reserves together so we know where each other are going to be and what we are going to do and it's a great combination." he added.

"We created plenty of chances the other night but I really want to get my first senior goal. It would be so good for confidence and that's what I need at the minute. I still think back to the chance I had at Dagenham in the second half a couple of weeks ago. As the ball came across I should have headed it but I tried a spectacular volley and it went over the bar. I have been practising my heading in training and staying behind to do extra and all I want to do now is take the good work onto the football pitch."

"I wasn't happy with my performance at all against Grimsby last Saturday but I thought I did a lot better on Tuesday."

Looking back at his time at Burton he said; "I enjoyed my time at Burton, It was good for me. I played four times and scored one goal and I was quite happy with how I did. Nigel Clough is very strict but he's a good coach and it's a good set-up there. There's a good foundation for a good finish this season."
