I need to be playing - McAllister

Last updated : 19 March 2010 By Duke
Striker Craig McAllister is looking forward to the busisness end of the season by getting match fit and hopefully being part of the Miller promotion push since his loan move from Exeter.

Speaking to todays 'Tiser McAllister said: "I want to be part of a promotion and I'd love to stay around. Hopefully it will work for both parties. I'm 29 now and I need to be playing. You can see that when I made my debut at Dagenham last week."

"It's just a matter of getting my fitness back and finding my feet here and hopefully in a few games I will. I've been on the bench a few times at Exeter but I've just not been involved. I got promoted to League One with them last season. I didn't start many games but I did reasonably well. I only started seven games but scored eight goals."

"It's true that holding the ball up and bringing others into play is what I do but hopefully scoring goals will be part of it here, I did that last year and, to be honest, I should have scored at Dagenham with a little tap-in. I'm well aware of Le Fondre and the goals he's scored. Hopefully he'll pass to me as well."
