I don't feel the pressure - Alfie

The Millers top scorer looks back at last weekends late late defeat against Bradford, and tells the Advertiser that he didnt feel any pressure with the injury time penalty.

"I'm really confident from 12 yards and I always think I'll score any time of the week, except if it's Darlington, I don't feel the pressure because it's my job to score goals and that's what I do. It's not pressure, it's just enjoyment for me."

"People talk about the pitch at Don Valley but I'm not fussed. I'll play on anything. As long as it's got a goal to score in then I'm not bothered. Bad bounces don't worry me either. It can work for me in that defenders can lose their footing and someone who is sharp and nimble like me can get in and take advantage."

"I like scoring goals, personally, I'd rather keep them all to myself than share them, The goal we scored at Burton last week was mine anyway, even though everyone was trying to take it off me!"

"Obviously I'm pleased with the way I've been going goalswise but I admit my all-round game needs to improve. Like the gaffer says, I'm not beyond criticism. I need to improve outside the box but I think that will come with a little bit more time."

"I read the papers and see the records I've got to beat and I think I will do, I'll take Mark Robins's total next (26 in 2000/01 season) but what I'm after is the modern-day scoring record (Alan Crawford - 31 goals in 1976/77). I want to get 32."

Alf also explained his thumb sucking goal celebrations; "It's for my little girl, She was born during Christmas when we had no games so I said I'd do that for her. Other players do the 'rock the baby' thing but I thought I'd do something different for a laugh." he added.
