I definitely want to stay - Tayles

The 22 year-old has been the speculation of contract negotiations of late along with frontline partner Adam Le Fondre.

And with the Millers boardroom and manager Ronnie Moore stating deals are close to being struck to keep the pair recently, Taylor has spoken of his desire to get his particular deal tied up sooner rather than later.

"We have just started talks about a new contract and I hope to get something sorted out," he told Press Association Sport.

"I definitely want to stay at the club, work hard get back in the team and kick on from there.

It was very frustrating after my latest injury but these things happen in football and you can't do anything about it. I am feeling good. I've had three reserve-team games since I came back.

"I have to work hard and hopefully get back into the team. I think I'm ready to go."
