I couldnt risk Coughlan - Robbo

Speaking to todays Rotherham Star, Robbo revealed the reason why Coughlan was a late omisson from the line-up to face the Blues.

"He turned his ankle in training and went straight in to get treatment. Graham always wants to perform, he hates missing out, but you have got to have a bit of responsibility.

"We want the right information to act on and he's done that, to be fair to him, and he said he'd be struggling although he would have played. He is a lad who wants to play every game but I had to persuade him that he wasn't playing. It was definitely the right decision," added Robins.

"It was an easy decision. I have to look at the wider picture. We've some big games coming up. He gets a few extra days ahead of the Peterborough game, and there's also one or two suspension possibilities hanging around."

With Coughlan out, Marc Joseph did a good job in deputising in the middle while Dale Tonge got his first outing since November.

"Dale has been champing at the bit for a game and was knocking on my door on Friday." Robins said.

"He did well. He's been first class while he's been out of the team and I thought it was a good performance he came back in with. His immediate opponent was intent on making it difficult for him but he gave as good as he got." he added
