Ever ready Hursty was offered a new contract at the end of last season by Alan Knill and today he agreed to stay with the Millers.

The 31 year old has been at Millmoor for 14 years and came through the clubs youth policy, and always proved the doubters wrong with some great displays, often making up his lack of height with the size of his heart.

Hursty now has the chance to become Rotherham United's players with the most league appearances, He currently stands at 410, just 49 short of Danny Williams 459 appearances.

Meanwhile it seems as if Shaun Barker will be wanting to move away from the club, with reports of him not turning up for Pre-Season training.
