Hurst spoke to the Advertiser this week of the emotion felt at the end of a succsessful season, sayng:
"It was a fantastic day and an emotional one too"
"As the players and the supporters were celebrating, Rob and I took ourselves to one side just to have a quiet moment and to be honest I felt like bursting into tears. "I managed to hold myself together but that's the difference between managing and playing. As a boss, there's no release. The tension builds up inside you."
Hurst added: "We're building up a good CV," "I've made no secret of the fact that I would like to do football management full time but there's a lot of competition out there and lots of hard work to do before then. "We'll be meeting the chairman to work out a budget for next season and whether or not we can push on only time will tell. "Apart from getting promoted, we've won the Lincolnshire Cup and the Uni- Bond League Cup this season. Boston is a good club and we've had more than 2,000 at our last two home games, so the potential is there."
