Holroyd on form as reserves hit Vale for five

Striker Chris Holroyd found form as he netted four goals whilst Mark Bradley was also on the scoresheet as the Millers stepped things up after the break.

More notably though, defender Johnny Mullins completed his comeback from injury as he played the majority of the match before being substituted, with trialist Stephen Jordan also involved.

Holroyd had opened the scoring in the first half before the visitors made it 1-1 with a deflected effort.

He then made it 2-1 after the restart after Luke Foster sent in a left wing centre, headed in a Liam Royles cross to complete his hat trick and then added a fourth.

Midfielder Bradley, returning to action from a hamstring strain, then thumped in a fifth before full time to end proceedings.

Team: Warrington, Royles, Brown, Jordan, Mullins, Foster, Bradley, Taylor, Holroyd, Foltyn-Brown, Pringle.
