Rotherham will also be hoping that Gregor Robertson and Colin Murdock return from the international scene unscathed whilst injury victims Scott Minto, Phil Gilchrist and Andy Monkhouse were all boosted by a midweek run in the reserves but only Gilchrist is set to be in the reckoning for a first team spot.

In Contention

Lee Williamson is definitely out as he was re-admitted to hospital during the week after further problems with his breathing following a broken nose at Nottingham Forest a few weeks back. After an encouraging display at Brentford, on loan midfielder Grant Leadbitter will be pushing for a start and will be boosted by a stunning goal for England Under 20's last weekend.

Mick Harford will have to decide whether to bring Barry Conlon straight in to the team, probably in place of Martin Butler or to start him on the bench.

Scunthorpe boss Brian Laws will be boosted by the return of two players, skipper Andy Crosby and midfielder Richie Ryan aer available after a groin strain and suspension respectively.

Talking to the press association Laws said,

"We had a young side out at Tranmere. That performance shows that when we get a first-choice back four fit, we'll be a strong unit, while in the previous few games we've struggled due to injuries to our key defenders.

"But for Rotherham we're likely to be near full-strength with Ryan and Crosby back, although I don't like to make too many changes to a winning side if I don't have to."

Meanwhile the Millers will do well to keep former blunt Billy Sharp quiet, he has scored 8 goals in 12 games since his transfer from Bramall lane.
