Head2Head & Team News - Accrington Stanley LDV Cup

Monky, first start for 7 months.
Boss Mick Harford has told the club's official site that he will ring the changes for tomorrow nights LDV Vans Trophy game against non-league Accrington Stanley.

Winger Andy Monkhouse will start the game after spending the last 7 months out injured.

Colin Murdock is ruled out with a groin injury, while Michael Keane is expected to be out with a knee injury which they both picked up during the game at Scunthorpe.

Lee Williamson is also still out with the mystery illness which has seen him hospitalised last week. Paul McLaren will be suspended after receiving a needless red card for kicking and slapping Scunthorpe's Peter Beagrie. Harford was going to appeal against the decision, but the club have decided against it as the tape clearly shows McLaren raise his hands to Beagrie, a stright red card offence in its own right.

However moving onto some positive news, young striker Will Hoskins is likely to start and Jon Otsemobor is also in line for a run out. Phil Gilchrist and Scott Minto should also feature.

Otsi, in line for a start
Mick is looking to the game to provide the Millers a springboard to turn our form around, he told the clubs official website today, "I always want to win games and this one will be no exception as the rewards are good at the end of the competition. I am sure our players will put on a good performance as it's time we got back to winning ways again."

Accrington boss John Coleman has his own injury problems with 4 players out. Peter Cavanagh is out while long-term injury victims Andy Tretton (knee), Danny Alcock (broken arm) and Andy Proctor (knee) are ruled out.

The Accy will also be missing goalkeeper Darren Randolph as he is away on international duty with the Republic of Ireland Under-19s, Andy Dibble will be inbetween the sticks.

The bookies have obviously made the Millers massive favorites for a game that realistically we should'nt lose, but stranger things have happened!!
