The 25 year-old Scottish defender, who started north of the border wirth Clyde, is set to join on an initial months loan with a view to extending the deal.
He made over 100 apperacnes for Queen of the South, including the Scottish cup final in 2008 and scored 14 times, before moving to the Seaside last season.
