Harford spurns City offer

Just five weeks after signing on at Millmoor, Man City came calling for Harford to be thier assistant boss after giving Stuart Pearce the managers job full time.

However Harford has decided that the lure was'nt big enough for him to leave his first mangerial post and he has opted to stay at Millmoor.

Millers Chairman Peter Ruchniewicz is happy that Mick is staying, he told todays Rotherham Star "I am delighted that Mick is staying with us but I am not surprised because I know how committed hi is to the club and this job."

"His decision is consistant with the sort of man that he is, He wants to be a number 1, he wants to be a manager in his own right. This sort of opportunity being offered to Mick is not a suprise but Mick deserves the chance to be a number 1 and with no disrespect to Manchester City, who are a big and fine club, I feel he has done the right thing to stay in charge here."
