Speaking from the training camp at Champney's Springs, Mick told the club's official website (themillers.co.uk) "We won't be taking any of the trialists we have had with us as I didn't consider any of them were no better than any other player we have at the club so there was no point bringing them in."

"I am looking for some goalkeeping cover but I would also like to bring in another striker to boost the squad for when we have suspensions and injuries but you can only work within the framework of the budget and we are almost at that limit."

Mick also spoke about the benefits of the training camp which leads up to the first friendly at Coalville on Saturday, "It gets them away from the training ground where they have been for the last ten days working hard non-stop. It's a change of scenery, the pitch is fantastic, the setting is great and we have the use of all the superb facilities."

"The break will also help the squad to gel together with so many newcomers, we are quite a quiet, young bunch and with six new additions it helps them to bond while it helps the staff to get to know their character.

News i have gained from the training field is that striker Martin Butler who was plauged by illness last season is fully fit, sharp and raring to go.
