Haggerty pens professional contract

The 18 year-old has one first team appearance to his name, the last game at Millmoor against Barnet in May 2008, but has regularly skippered the reserves and youth sides.

Now the 6ft 3inch centre half has put pen to paper on his first professional contract and Chief Operating officer Paul Douglas told the clubs official site: "We're delighted to have David here for another year.

"He has alot of work ahead of him but has the potential to become a very good player for this football club."
