Goals need to run through the side - Lynch

Last updated : 04 December 2009 By Bigrich.....
With the Millers finding goals hard to come by from other sources, with only Kevin Ellison chipping in with his fair share, Lynch explained the pressures of success.

"The dividing line between success and failure is so narrow, especially in this league. You're looking for that spark to turn games" he said.

"Alfie (Le Fondre) has had it on a lot of occasions for us. He's turned matches in our favour but we can't rely on him every week. Someone else has got to pop up but unfortunately it didn't happen on Tuesday (at Shrewsbury).

"If we keep it tight at the back and sneak a 1-0 win, happy days. More of us need to score to take some pressure off Alfie. Let's not forget that Kev Ellison has got a decent amount of goals this season. There is goals in the team, definitely. It's just about getting the ball into the right area and taking our chances and doing that will also stand us in good stead if Alfie ever got injured.

"You want as many players to be scoring as possible from set-pieces and whatever. The more players that are finding the net, the better is it for the team."

After breaking into the side following injury to Dale Tonge and recovering from his own injury battle, Mark added: "I have been champing at the bit ever since I have been back fit. I've had to be patient because Tongey has done well. The new gaffer came in and unfortunately Dale got injured—the same happened to me last season.

"I'm looking to get as good a run as I possibly can. Of course I can remember scoring at Morecambe. It was one of those days when everything went right. As a footballer you hope every day can be like that but unfortunately they're not. " feel like I'm playing well and to be part of a team that's in the top three and pushing for promotion is a good thing. " had a bad run of it last time with injuries. I want to put that behind me now."
