Knill who was yesterday rewarded for giving us a chance of survival with a new 2 year deal told todays Rotherham Star, "I am delighted but I want to focus on tomorrow's game, We know what's required and this is a situation we would have taken some time ago, I'm sure."

"You look for people to do their jobs. I look for the spine of the team to be solid and there will be some performances in there, I'm certain."

"It's a massive game, we want the crowd right behind us from the start and it is up to us to handle things the right way. We are up against a side who know they have to win and they will go for it, but the best way to counter that is for us to go for the win as well."

Knill will no doubt be looking to some of his older heads to steer the ship home after what has been a toughseason on the pitch and a nightmare off it.

"I'm confident that we will handle it and if we can show the home form we have been doing we will do it. To the fans, stick with us throughout, your backing will be vital," he added.

Meanwhile, striker Martin Butler has been speaking how Knill deserved his new contract. Talking to Radio Sheffield, the 31 year old said, "His record stands up for himself, Alans been like a breath of fresh air."

"He does things his own way, he's his own man and the players respect that. The performances I dont think anybody can argue with, thats all that counts in this game. People look at how many goals you score and how many wins you get, and he's done very well."
