Frustrated Shearer looking forward to York

After a match winning double save against Oxford did his confidence the world of good last weekend, Shearer told the Advertiser today: “It was very frustrating midweek because we went there after a very good win. The spirit was high and we were looking good but the ref had no choice on the night.

“I went out to warm up at ten to seven and it was throwing it down and me and Andy Warrington knew then there was a half-chance it would keep going. These things happen in football."

He adds ahead of tomorrows game at York City: “We're champing at the bit and we've been putting it in on the training ground. I've been working very hard and I've had a new baby recently, so things have been quite tough, but I'm starting to enjoy it more now."
