After a whip round in the dressing room by local neighbours Sheffield United, which raised around £2,000 to add to the £9,000 from the Sheffield derby beam-back fund, further talks have been held between the Millers players and their heirarchy.

Club officials met with the players, representatives of the PFA and our insolvency advisors BDO to iron out the players contribution to the Save The Millers campaign.

Phil Henson told the official site: "We are working closely with the players, BDO and the fans - through RUST - to draft a new cashflow framework to give us confidence to meet all our requirements for the Bristol City home game. The support we have received so far has been unbelieveable - supporters, players, the Rotherham community and fans from all over the country are behind us.

"What we need urgently is a major investor to come forward and give the club the level of financial backing that will take us forward to the end of this season and beyond."
