Pic thanks to Rotherham Advertsier
The deluge flooded Millmoor's railway end on Monday, with the pitch covered in upto 3 feet of polluted water which has damaged the pitch which was comeing along very nicely according to groundsman Bill Corby only a fortnight ago.

But a more immediate problem for the team is that Hooton Lodge is also 3 quarters under water after the River Don at Kilnhurst broke its banks, leaving much of lower Kilnhurst under water.

With the team due back for pre season training next week the flooding at Hooton Lodge is a set back, however the club have made arrangements to train at Thomas Rotherham College should Hootn Lodge be unavailable the Millers chairman Denis Coleman told RotherFM yesterday.

Groundsman Bill Corby told todays Rotherham Advertiser; "We're going to have to do some returfing at Millmoor but our main concern is the training ground."

"It's horrendous. I've never known anything like it in 25 years here." he added.
