The much travelled frontman is looking to open his account with Rotherham and kickstart the season.

In an interview with the official site, the forward is looking to put the disappointment of Saturday behind him, he explained: “That game is dead and buried now and we have to concentrate on the forthcoming game at Huddersfield. But after they had gone down to ten men we expected we would be able to break through.

"But whenever you play against ten men it seems as if they have 11 because everyone puts in that extra effort with everyone behind the ball.

"They never looked like scoring in the second half and Neil Cutler didn't have a shot to save, we did everything but put the ball in the net so hopefully on Tuesday we can put that right. I will be back in my hometown where I grew up and it will be nice to go back there although it will be even better if we can get three points.

"I played against them last season when I was at Tranmere when we got one over them so hopefully we can do the same. They were beaten at Gillingham on Saturday and if we can take a leaf out of their book then there's no reason why we can't go there and get at least a point. Dave Hibbert played alongside me and he had only trained with us since Thursday but to be fair for his first game he did exceptionally well. We will soon get an understanding of playing together."
