Evans still waits on news of record deal

The Millers have agreed terms with an unnamed player for a loan move which will become a club-record permanent deal, but they are waiting for his parent club to complete their business.

It means the Millers are in limbo, but Evans is prepared to be patient.

"We are looking to do something very positive," the boss said.

"We are in a pecking order. We are hoping that the other club gets the player they are desperately striving to get and if that happens we will get our player.

"We have done our deal with the player and his representives, we have done our bit, but that club won't just sanction that without them getting their player in.

"We have always understood that, we will give it a few days.

"We got permission to speak to the player last week and we have agreed, it would be a club record, the chairman wants to spend the money and I want to help him spend it.

"We are just hinging on the club doing their piece of business, but if they can't then we will sign the boy in the summer for sure."
