Steve Evans and Tony Stewart beamed with delight to the waiting cameras and media at New York Stadium, as the boss signed on the dotted line following two successive promotions to extend his stay with the Millers.
Chairman Stewart was keen to stress a three year deal was always on the table, and there is no pressure to deliver yet more immediate success.
Chief Operating Officer Paul Douglas aadded that they were expecting to finalise a deal with at least two new recruits in the near future pending the outcome of discussions.
