As the players returned for pre-season training, the rumour mill is working overtime as despite Evans bringing in 11 new players already, he's puts to bed 2 unfound rumours while speaking to the Star.
There have been rumours that the Millers have tabled a bid for Bournemouths 26 year old striker Brett Pitman, however Evans said; “He is a player I recall from his days at Bristol City and have admired since, but we have had no negotiations with him or his representatives. We get linked with a lot of players we don’t sign."
Meanwhile a newer rumour is that Evans is chasing Swansea City winger Gwion Edwards.
Likewise, Evans played down interest in the 21 year old; “It’s just agent talk, I’ve never shown an interest and, given the signings we’ve already made, I don’t intend to."
“It’s nothing against the lad himself, but the rumours aren’t true.” he added.
