Evans has shown more potential signigns around the new stadium this week and said he was hopeful of sealing his first couple of deals very soon.
"We will continue to show players, representatives and their families what is a fantastic facility. These guys are very privileged to be able to see how things are taking shape, and it is obviously helping the cause.
"We are in serious discussions with around five or six players now, so we'll see how that goes. We don't always expect to land them all, they will have other options but we are talking and we are hopeful."
The boss also quashed rumours linking him with Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell and midfielder Giles Coke.
