Speaking to the 'Tiser the gaffer is looking forward to the festive period and cementing the Millers promotion push.

“It's about continuing the results and performances we've been having of late. Tuesday's was up there with the best and it's the type we are capable of on a regular basis and even bettering. I expected one or two of our players to be tired the next day but they all came in bouncing and we will go down to Bristol nice and fresh and prepare properly."

“Bristol have a new manager in John Ward, they're at home, they've reduced the admission and there is going to be a big crowd so they have every reason to go out and try and turn over Rotherham United, but we also have every incentive to go there and do well."

“The pitch is not good and the forecast tells me it will be a bit of a mud bath. We've got someone looking at the pitch today and that will guide me a lot to my team selection.”

Evans looked forward to the Boxing day clash with Port Vale which is looking to be a sell out; “It's a tough Boxing Day game for us but there will be a full house and I don't expect too many clubs in League Two to be selling out. That's testament to the backing here and we want to give the supporters the result they deserve.” he said.
