Even better news is that todays Rotherham Star is reporting that Shaun Barker and Paul Hurst are expected to sign new deals to keep the defenders at Millmoor.
Speaking to the Star, Boss Alan Knill also reveals that he is intrested in former Wednesday winger Jon Paul McGovern and has made initial enquiries.
Knill told the Star, "I rate him highly; he's direct, gets in good positions and scores a few goals. I have spoken to his agent but I'm sure his agent thinks he is a Championship player and will try to put him in the Championship."
Meanwhile the deal with Richie Partridge is still in the pipeline according to the Star.
