Made Apology
The article written by Tim Green of the London Millers only had one mention af Doncaster Rovers and that was to say "If you don't mind, I'll not talk about today's visitors,as I've found an unnecessary number of their fans to be unpleasant, violent half wits."

The Millers Chairman Denis Coleman apologised to Rovers officials at the game and before it had been mentioned by them, today the club went further and issued a formal apology to Rovers fans which appeared on their official website.

It said:-

On behalf of everyone here at Rotherham United sincere apologies are extended to all Doncaster Rovers supporters concerning an article in the Rotherham United programme last Saturday when the supporters were given a completely unwarranted tag.

This was entirely uncalled for and if more time had been permitted, it would have been edited out. Rovers fans can be assured that the comments certainly do not reflect the feelings of Rotherham United, they are purely and simply the feelings of one person who has been told that his contributions are no longer welcome.

Everyone at Millmoor looks forward to maintaining a happy working relationship with their close neighbours

Denis also rang Football Heaven tonight and said: "They were not the views of the club, it was something thats slipped into the programme and its posted by a guy from London Millers, the club have wrote to him today and he will not be able to put anything more in there."

"Its just slipped through, the guy who checks the programme has unfortunately missed it." Coleman added.

Lets hope that now Rovers fans can untwist thier knickers and stop saying silly things like we should be deducted more points!!!
