Cuff and Coleman join forces

Details on the club's official website www.themillers.co.uk state that Cuff and Millers Chairman Denis Coleman have been involved in detailed discussions that are ongoing about a proposed new stadium for the football club, which would more than likely see a groundshare with Rugby Union side Rotherham Titans.

No comments from Coleman are available at present, although the statement from Cuff, which may well be the one issued before Christmas, reads:

"As a local authority, we fully appreciate the important role that the development of a community stadium, with the facilities that it could provide for people of all ages in Rotherham, could play in the Borough's regeneration and in generating local pride. So we are pleased to be working with the Football Club to explore ways of bringing such a project to fruition and hopefully early next year, we will be in a better position to announce some of the ideas that are currently being examined."
