With Ronnie Moore facing worries about his leaky defence, Cresswell may be called back as early as next week if things go to plan.
"I've been doing all the training but without any contact but an all-clear from the specialist and I can get involved with some contact work again and get looking forward to a game," said Cresswell speaking after the Millers game at Gillingham, where he was watching the Millers and co-commentating for local radio.
