Talking to the 'Tiser Cressy speaks honestly about a frustrating season for him and his hopes for the summer.

"With the first team, there has been different things. I should have been playing earlier on in the season and come back into the side but never did. I don't think Rotherham United have got the best out of Ryan Cresswell this season and that's a shame for everyone. I think I should have been playing before and it was disappointing for me."

"People think I have been injured but I have trained every day since December. I've been champing at the bit to play. I've been knocking on the door and having words here and there. I should have played more football, we all know that. I've got a lot to offer this club and it just hasn't been given this year. But all that is by-the-by now. All I can do is work hard behind the scenes and I think it paid off for me on Saturday with the clean sheet."

Ryan looked back at Saturdays game and say's he should have scored with an early chance; "My eyes lit up. I should have put it in the back of the net but it skimmed off my head, Apart from that I was chuffed with the three points. The workrate from the boys was first class."

Looking forward to the new season, Cresswell is hoping he can feature at New York; "The new stadium looks fantastic. We drive past it more or less every day and everyone comments on it. It's going to be good for the town and everyone who lives in it and I just hope it gets the fans it deserves. The chairman has worked wonders with it and hopefully the people can back him."

"We need the supporters there to generate the atmosphere and I think we'll see a difference straight away. Don Valley has been great for Rotherham United but you just can't wait to get away now. And seeing the new stadium as it is, it just makes us want to get in it even sooner. Everyone wants to do well and play there."

"I think the key word is momentum. This season we might have been a bit more consistent but if we can finish the season off strong and then a new manager comes in and improves us then hopefully next season we can get success there."
