New boy: Coughlan
Sales have already been on the up on the back of a busy summer at Millmoor and the club have been surprised by the amount of interest. And despite the discount deadline passing, the number of enquiries have risen since Coughlan's signing was announced. "It would appear that this signing has gone down particularly well and the club has had a very favourable reaction," Mark Robins told the Rotherham star.

"We had a surprising numbers of callers yesterday and they were either season-ticket-holders from last season looking to get one again or new ones who have seen what has happened in the past couple of months."

Working hard: Robbo
Robins, who has brought ten players in to the club this season believes it's good to see the promising reaction to the work that has gone on. "If what we have done lifts our fans and the Rotherham public, then that is good because that's the sort of effect we hope it will have.

"As each of the signings have come in since the beginning of May, I think it has sent a message out to our fans that we are trying to do something about the situation.

"A lot of players had come in but we kept saying we were pushing for the big one, aiming to bring in this experienced defender. There are times when you can't pull off such a signing - and that happens to all clubs. But we got him, and the reaction has been good to see."
