Dale Spiby the trusts Community Manager told todays Rotherham Adfvertiser; "The club has had a turbulent time over the last eight months after going into administration and now that we are training in Doncaster and playing in Sheffield it is important we have a strong presence in the communities of Rotherham."
"The club has had some very low points in its recent history but now we are moving in the right direction again and it is fantastic that our hard work in the community is being recognised. I would like to thank everyone that has been involved with the Community Sports Trust who has contributed to the club receiving this award. Onwards and upwards." he added.
