This week saw the first meeting of the newly formed stadium steering committee aimed at achieving the dream of a community stadium for both the Millers and Titans Rugby.

On the committee are representatives from both the Millers and the Rugby club; Paul Douglas and Tony Steward from Rotherham United and Martin Jenkinson and Alan McHale from Rotherham Titans, they met Rotherham Borough Council chief executive Mike Cuff and Karl Battersby, the councils development chief.

The aim is to get the stadium built and completed withen the four year timescale, which is even more important after yesterdays news that the Millers could set to lose a £750k bond should they still be out of the towns borders in 4 years time.

Paul Douglas told the 'Tiser; "The meeting was very positive and I sensed a renewed determination to focus on what needs to be done, and when, in order to get this stadium completed in four years."
