With the announcement that Mark Robins has been given a one year rolling contract as manager and an assistant hopefully being named within seven days, attention immediately turned to the identity of the number two.

Shirty!
Wth rumours spread across several news outlets and gossip rife on the Millersmad messageboard that John Breckin is the man, Coleman gave little away. "We're in negotiations for a number two to come in with Mark. We're speaking to somebody at the minute and that's all I can say on that. Ideally we would've like for him to be sat here now but we're still talking and we'll take it as it comes. Mark has to be happy with the person, he has to work with him day in day out.

"We're talking to the person because we think it is the right person. We'll see how it pans out."

Asked whether the mystery man was interviewed for the number one job Coleman responded: "He could've been and he might now have been" before demanding that attention was focused on Robins' appointment.

The new manager was also reluctant to get involved and restricted his answer to "We know the identity of the man and we'll see what happens."

Meanwhile, Coleman also outlined the board's reasons for appointing Robins. "We spoke to 15 people all together, there were some good quality people in there and we spent a lot of time as a board and felt that Mark was the right decision for the club. We've worked closely with Mark since Alan Knill left and we have been very impressed in how he has conducted himself."

Coleman also revealed that the club is working to a five year plans and spoke of some details of that plan. "This is a very big decision for the club, we have got a five year plan and we need to make the right move. We hope to be back in the Championship within five years, where we feel the club belongs. There is a very good chance we will be relegated, we've budgeted for both leagues and Mark is prepared for whatever happens."
