Coid was set to re-join Rotherham last Friday but telephoned boss Ronnie Moore to declare he wasn't fully fit.
But having figured in the Seasiders reserves match this week, Moore hinted after the win over Accrington that he may try to wrap up the deal.
"Danny played 70 minutes in a reserve team game yesterday so we will have a chat and see what happens," said the Millers boss.
"We have only got one right-back so we need to bring one in, so there is every chance we could have Coidy in for the weekend."
