Clubs battle it out for Reid signature

The Millers confirmed the Seasiders had met their asking price, rumoured to be around £200,000, last week.

With Reid, 21 yesterday, set for talks at Bloomfield Road after pulling out of the friendly with Nottingham Forest last Wednesday, word out of the Millers camp now points towards a deal being struck with another Championship outfit.

"Our chairman, Tony Stewart, has been dealing with it after my initial involvement but another club has been on; the interest is live and we'll see what happens," said boss Mark Robins speaking to the Star.
