Club lay plans for administration?

The Rotherham Star reports that the club are currently being advised by creditors and that Denis and Dino may be meeting with players and officials today to outline the situation.

The voluntary administration plans would not take effect for at least three weeks so we would have completed all our league one fixtures, however this would mean starting the 2006/07 season with an automatic 10 point deduction.

Assets are set to be analysed by an independent administrator with the previous rescue package going onto the backburner - the club seemingly having little choice in the matter. The club's
main creditors include the Inland Revenue, former chairman Ken Booth, former director Trevor Smallwood and some ex players who are still awaiting payments on their contracts. The club was on the brink of liquidation at the end of March but the Save The Millers campaign contributed to Denis and Dino's takeover to help secure the short term future.

Tonight's forum at the Rotherham United suite, previously the Tivoli, is limited to ticket only and starts at 7.30pm with a similar evening planned for tomorrow.
