Clarke aims for a new contract

Clarke is here until the end of the season, and the young forward has done reasonably well so far in his games since joining on a short term contract from Blackburn.

He was spotted earlier this season when playing against Rotherham for tomorrow's opponents, and he says he's enjoyed it during his time at DVS thus far.

"I've settled in well here", he says, "Pablo Mills has helped me out in training and in games and is a good role model. The same with Mark Robins who has shown faith in me. With his background he's a legend and I can listen and learn from him."

He added:, "Accrington was great. Being a striker himself, manager, John Coleman helped me and gave me an edginess to my game and I'm looking forward to playing in the game.

"My aim at Rotherham is to get games under my belt and to keep improving. I am here until May and I'll be grateful for whatever happens after that.

"There's a nice buzz about the place regarding next season and we'll be pushing for promotion and I would like to be part of that."
