Carlisle v Millers - Match Preview

Last updated : 21 February 2014 By Deano

Carlisle midfielder James Berrett will miss the home game against Rotherham due to a hamstring injury while Liam Noble and Sam Byrne are both minor doubts.

Berrett missed the midweek win at Coventry, while Noble and on-loan Manchester United striker Byrne sustained knocks, the latter after coming on as a second-half substitute.

Latest signing Nacho Novo is hoping to make his first appearance - the former Rangers striker was an unused substitute on Tuesday night - and defender Chris Chantler (ankle) is pushing for his first start since November after stepping off the bench.

Midfielder Paul Thirlwell (calf) is expected to miss out again and on-loan Aston Villa striker Michael Drennan has left the club.

The Millers will do without Mark Bradley for the trip to Cumbria.

The right-back suffered a back injury in last week's 2-1 win over Stevenage, but carried on playing as all three substitutes had been used.

James Tavernier is likely to be switched to cover for Bradley with Joe Skarz recalled to play left-back

Claude Davis and Alex Revell came off with knocks in that game, although the duo should be okay to be involved in the squad.

Skipper Craig Morgan won't be risked ahead of a busy schedule and a trip to face his former club Preston coming up on Tuesday.
