Millers full back Steve Brogan finally announced his major comeback in Saturday's win at Port Vale, coming off the bench to open the scoring, and understandably he was delighted.

brogan big 2Speaking to Radio Sheffield this week he said: 'It's always a good feeling to get a last minute winner (through Nicky Law) and it makes my goal look that much better!

'I've been waiting for my chance and, after Kevin (Ellison) had to go off in the first 15 minutes I got a good run out, scoring was brilliant.

"My Dad and Sister were in the crowd and it was brilliant to get on and score in front of the fans. Moral is high at the moment and I'm buzzing, we all are. I'm just looking to improve and I think I'm ready.

"I was disappointed not to be involved under Mark Robins earlier this season and now I've just got to show Ronnie that I'm ready for my first start, I don't feel I've anything to prove to the fans really."

As Brogan's immediate future looks rosy, summer signing Andy Liddell has been booked in for an achilles operation in the next two weeks and could be out a couple of months.

Liddell was brought in by Robins in August after a trial spell and previously spending time with Bradford Park Avenue, but the former Oldham man has had limited first team opportunity so far.
