After successful surgery last weekend, Mark Robins is hoping that his young
star Stephen Brogan could make a comeback earlier than originally feared.

Initial worires were that Stephen could be spending a good 12 months out of the game, however speaking to the 'Tiser, Robins said: "The good thing is that Stephen isn't going to miss many games and he's going to have the close-season and the pre-season period to recover. He's a young lad with young bones and he will be back, hopefully around October time, although at this time it is still hard to say."

"Stephen has had his operation and he is more upbeat. He will be fine. He has got a strong family unit behind him and he will come back stronger than ever."

Meanwhile Brogan's family have thanked fans for thier well wishes. Sister Johanna who has been updating Millers fans via the MillersMAD messageboards told the Advertiser; "We'd like to thank each and every person for their support, from the medical staff in Milton Keynes through to the MK Dons people and the kind people of Rotherham."

"There have been some really nice touches from so many and Stephen will have so many cards to open when he gets back. He's getting his chin up."
