After joining in the summer, Brindley was signed as a prospect and although he's happy with his progress so far this season, the defender is hoping to extend his stint in the first team after playing in the last couple of games.

“I'm on a two- year deal and maybe in the first year I could be in and out of the side but the gaffer knows what I can do and that the more games I play, the better I'll get, so it is just a matter of time before I reach my potential."

“My goal is to be a regular starter here and I'm happy with the contribution I have made so far. In the games I've been involved in, I think I've played well. Obviously I'd like to play more but there's a lot of competition here.” he said

Brindley looked back at last weekends win over Stevenage; “Everyone knows I like to get forward and set up goals and be an attacking full-back, but I still like to work on both sides of my game and matches like that are a good experience on the defensive side. Stevenage were sharp in the first ten minutes but we did very well to get hold of it and took the opportunities that came.”
