Scott was dismissed at Brentford earlier this year, The 38-year-old looks back at his time at Brentford and leading them to the League Two championship in 2009, which he says gives him a hunger for more.

“That certainly applies to me, to want more success, and it is a feeling you want to replicate, For players who have not had success and haven’t achieved, I’m desperate for them to get that feeling because I want them to feel as good as I did during my time at Brentford  and I want to feel like that again.” he told the Star

“Sometimes politics and agendas at football clubs dictate decisions that are made. That’s life. It was a harsh decision but nothing’s fair, everybody has a gripe about something, but can you bounce back? Well, it has made me more determined to make sure I succeed here at Rotherham United.” he added.

Brentford had a decent cup run this season and were just one game away from Wembley in the JPT when Scott was fired.

“They also beat Hull and Everton in the Carling Cup and only lost on penalties to Birmingham who went and won it, And a month before I got the sack they equalled a club record of six successive away wins."

“But’s that all in the past and I’m determined now to get that winning feeling back, to have that successful feeling again. I’ve no doubt Brentford will be looking enviously at Rotherham United in the future.”

“I’m committed to this job and to what we are trying to achieve, If I didn’t want to win things or didn’t have the urge to win things, the chairman certainly wouldn’t have made me the manager.” Scott also added that he's looking to move into the area as soon as its possible.
