BREAKING NEWS - Robins confirmed as Millers new manager

Last updated : 06 April 2007 By Deano
Robins takes permanent charge of the side on a one year rolling contract - with a number two, as we understand, to be appointed in the next seven days.

MillersMAD understands this is likely to be John Breckin, who had been widely tipped to make a return on our messageboards over the past 24 hours - and also in various media outlets, and would part company with ex-boss Ronnie Moore at Tranmere Rovers to rejoin the club. We must stress though that this is not confirmed as yet.

He could break a long working relationship with Moore, which has stretched three clubs over the past 10 years. The duo moved onto Oldham and then Tranmere after Moore was sacked by the Millers05 board in 2005, with Breckin leaving too. Moore still has a year left on his current contract at Prenton Park.

The Millers need a miracle to save their League One skins - defeat tomorrow and at Nottingham Forest on Easter Monday with other results going against them could see relegation confirmed.

More reaction and interviews are now on the site, as the team prepare for tomorrow's home clash with Gillingham.
