Branston pushed the issue to play - Scott

Branston was initially refused permission to play in Saturdays FA Cup tie at Barrow but after speaking to Bradford boss Phil Parkinson himself, the decision was reversed.

Rumours over the weekend pointed towards a deal being agreed by both clubs for the Millers to take on Branston's two year contract when his loan deal is up, but Scott has now dismissed those claims.

He told Radio Sheffield; "Guy spoke to Phil to say he wanted to play and we kept on at him on Thursday aswell, so we have to thank him for that.

"Guy is here for three months so realistically it would have been the third or fourth round when he goes back to Bradford. We'll review the situation in January when the loan deal is up, whether he goes back, Bradford want to do a deal or if we have the finances to do it."

32 year-old Branston is unavailable for the Millers trip to his parent club this coming weekend.
