An early goal from trialist Eugen Bopp was only cancelled out by a late Blades equaliser as the Millers put in a confident and impressive display of passing football.

Knill hopes to carry the positive pre-season results into next Saturday's home clash with Brighton, whilst in the meantime sitting down with Bopp and new recruit Martin Woods to try and thrash out contract terms.

Woods didn't feature in last night's game but it is thought Knill rates the former Scottish U21 International very highly.

Of the game and the latest on both trialists plus the injury news, the boss told the official site: "I thought we were pretty good especially in the first half and we got all out of the game what we wanted to. We looked solid at the back and that was a big plus whilst we looked a threat going forward.

"Lee Williamson came off because he felt his groin in the warm up so we pulled him off when he felt it again whilst it was the same with Pablo Mills towards the end.

"Hopefully we will be able to do something to bring in both Eugen Bopp and Martin Woods next week while I am hoping to sign a Championship striker on loan on Monday."
